What’s up guys!! How has August gone by so fast?! It feels like it just started, it’s funny how when quarantine started time moved so slow but now it's moving faster than I can think, hahaha… As me and many others are preparing for this new school year, I thought I would try to give a helpful hand and prepare our mindset to become more productive!!
Creating a Workspace
When starting your school work, or any work you have it’s important that you create a workspace other than your bed. I understand that working from your bed is comfortable, but your mind will recognize where you are and your work ethic will not be the same. When creating your workspace find your own style and what works for you, I know for me I created a workspace that motivates me to stay productive throughout the day, and also just makes me look forward to work. One thing I love to do, is that the night before I will make a to-do list of everything I want to accomplish the next day. This honestly keeps my day on track, and I have noticed the days I don’t do it I will not accomplish anything…. Haha….
Some of my favorite things in my “office” area are my to- do notebook, candle, jumbo calendar. All of these things help me stay focused on what I'm working on and not lose track. I know the candle sounds weird but when I light my candle before I start to work the smell will trigger my mind to stay working and motivated…. It sounds weird, but just try it and thank me later.
Set up your day for Success
When getting ready for the day, create a productive environment/ mindset. That could be creating a playlist to jump start your, working out, or just creating a well- established morning routine. Another way to get you in the right mindset is creating a sleep schedule. Now this can be hard since we have nowhere to go, so you might as well just stay up and scroll through your phone. Getting started is the hardest part, but once you establish a routine and motivate yourself it will get easier, trust me. Now what I’m about to say may be conflicting but hear me out, don’t overwork yourself! When setting your day up for success that also includes knowing your boundaries, and when to stop.
Being “Productive”
Everyone is different. I know for me I have to constantly be doing something, even after a day of just laying in my bed watching youtube I feel “blah”, so making a to-do list and having an oversized calendar excites me! ( yes, it’s a little weird) Being “productive” is different for everyone, so don’t give yourself a hard time if you don’t accomplish everything you had in mind, instead congratulate yourself for even accomplishing the smallest thing on your list, because at the end of the day you still get to cross it off! Not everyday is going to be as productive as the previous day, you don’t have to hustle 24/7 allowing yourself to breath will motivate you to work even harder the next day!
I hope you guys enjoyed this week's post! Don’t forget to follow us at our socials, and comeback next Friday for a new blog post!!
